Akhirnya resmi juga Google keluarin Nexus One atau Superphones di acara Gathering Android Press(05/01/09) , 
Google mengatakan mereka bekerjasama dengan HTC. Baik menggunakan hardware seperti prosesor 1GHz Snapdragon fast dan 3.7 “layar AMOLED. Anda bahkan dapat membuat ukiran kustom seperti iPod. Google juga telah menciptakan sebuah kategori baru yang disebut “superphones” dan Nexus Satu akan menjadi salah satu dari mereka.
